A recent report by the investigative team at CBC’s The Fifth Estate has revealed graphic new evidence that numerous patients held at two mental health facilities in Ontario were subjected to unspeakable psychological abuse that amounted to torture.

The disturbing report featured interviews with former patients and victims along with startling new video of Dr. Elliott T. Barker, one of two psychiatrists who developed and oversaw the experimental ‘treatments.’ The report also detailed, for the first time, the existence of a second version of the program implemented in the women’s wing of the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital outside of London, Ontario.
