Fossil Island Bank Chest Osrs

Anyone know that small island with a single bank chest on it? Just north of fossil island. I've been on there before. Does it actually serve a purpose? If you’re die hard about staying on fossil island though, try farming your own jute in hops patches on the mainland and use the jute fibre at the loom you can build on fossil.
